What a breath of fresh air today. We are not being bombarded by how many new cases of Corona virus, how many died yesterday, new rules and guidelines to follow. Where has it gone? Well it hasn’t gone anywhere. It is just old news now. There is new news now (riots) that the media will ride until it dies. Why can’t we see through all of this. Why do we let the media put us in a panic mode? The media is just like an ambulance chaser. There are lawyers who chase an ambulance hoping they can get a new client. That is what the media is, they are ambulance chasers. We fall right into their hype and we start chasing after them like they have the truth. Like I said, where are they today? When the riots die down then they will chase something else. If there isn’t anything new to chase then they will dig up Corona again. Now don’t get me wrong, it is serious but the media blows everything out of proportion. We take their word as the Gospel. They said, “Well if we had acted quicker we could have saved more lives” and we believe them. They said millions will die, now that has been revised as if all their words and guidelines has caused it. The last time I checked God was still in control. He is still in control of life and death. The Bible gives us stories of men who take credit for things and leave God out. Men such as Nebuchadnezzar took credit for all the glory of Babylon. The media wants to make everything political. Because of that they want to focus on the negative.
It was estimated that 142,670 would die in 2019 with lung cancer. That is just in one year. They never shut the tobacco companies down. An estimated 88,000 died in 2019 from alcohol related situations. They never shut down the alcohol companies. Look how many die each year with diabetes. They never shut down the cookie, cake, ice cream places. Why? They all have too strong ties with Washington DC. This isn’t the first pandemic, but it is the first one that the government has exercised its power over churches.
We need to realize that we are being manipulated by the media. The media is not the Gospel. They are all about money. Like I said earlier, where are they today? The virus is still here but it is now old news. The media is so inconsistent. They can’t even agree among themselves. There is only one being that remains the same and that is Jesus Christ. He watches over us when there is a pandemic and he watches over us when there isn’t a pandemic. You don’t have to get up everyday and read the Bible to see if there has been any revisions. Thank God his word is solid and never changes. God wants a people who will put their full trust in him and his word.
Some will read this and say that I am not taking this seriously enough. I don’t force my beliefs on anyone. I encourage the saints here to pray and be led by his Spirit. I have a responsibility to encourage everyone to rise up in faith.
