As we continue in this social distancing we hear many things from the news. So much that you don’t know who to believe. There are those who say this is the judgement of God on the world. This is the judgement of God on America. I have even heard that this is the judgement of God on the Body of Christ.
First I would like to remind everyone to take this time to look inside. How can you strengthen your relationship with Jesus and the Lord? What can you do to have a deeper walk with him? Don’t make the mistake of thinking this tribulation is someone else’s fault, and then not learn from it. What I am saying is when in adversity “consider”. There have also been many who mention 2 Chronicles 7:14, and address this towards a nation. Those of you who have eyes to see, must be able to see that God has already judged this nation and he is not going to heal the land of this nation. The key in this scripture is he is looking for a people. We need to consider we are the people he is looking for. We are the people that Peter mentions a chosen generation a royal priesthood an holy nation a peculiar people. The holy nation is not one of our nations it is a nation made up of the chosen generation as John says in Revelation out of every kindred, and tongue, and people and nation.
We need to not be worried about what caused this tribulation and why this tribulation is here. We need to focus on what it will work out of us. Will it bring us closer as a family? Will it cause us to fulfill the phrase “absence makes the heart grow fonder”? God’s hand is in this tribulation, and this is not more than we can bear. We can endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Through tribulation comes patience. If nothing else take this time to be quiet and not complain but enjoy the peace and tranquility. We have no sports, concerts, movies or any other public gathering that has always been a distraction. Now is the time to really focus on the communication you have with the Lord.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – apply this to your life, your mind, your heart. If we all do this now how much stronger will the church be right now? How much stronger with the church be when we come back together?
Very good. Time to focus on me. What is in my heart.
Great thoughts. I was just thinking about that this morning. God bless you guys!
